Culture and Politics
Politics is the way in which we organize ourselves and the way we make decisions. When "the people" run the government, it is called a Democracy.

We have 3 levels of government. They are municipal (local), provincial, and federal. Each level is responsible for making decisions about specific topics.

Participation

People participate by voting for candidates or by running as candidates.

People can also participate by becoming a member of one of the following:

  1. Political Activist Group
  2. Media
  3. Lobbyist
  4. N.G.O. (Non-Governmental Agency)
  5. Judicial System



N.G.O's represent specific groups of people. Many, also, provide services to their clients. These services may not be offered by the government.
